Painting

In our real estate market, BC often overlooks the use of paint. Paint is inexpensive comparatively speaking and can add a 29% return on your British Columbia home. I always recommend using earth tones and neutral colors to accent the walls. Dramatic and bright colors sometimes make potential home buyers feel rushed and out of place. Using calming colors will help to make your buyers feel at home.

Keep your renovations simple. If your budget is limited, try not to focus on one part of the home and overlook other aspects of your home renovation. Not renovating your home could give the impression that you are flexible on your asking price. Buyer’s agents may assume you are trying to sell a “fixer upper” and give you a low ball offer.
